{"id":160,"date":"2012-07-25T14:43:43","date_gmt":"2012-07-25T21:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/?page_id=160"},"modified":"2023-12-06T14:49:48","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T22:49:48","slug":"business-plan","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/?page_id=160","title":{"rendered":"Strategic Business Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Port of Umpqua, with the technical assistance of Lane Council of Governments, has updated its Strategic Business Plan.\u00a0 The Port of Umpqua Commission adopted the updated SBP on November 15, 2023.\u00a0 This updated plan was financed through a Business Oregon grant.\u00a0 Click <a href=\"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Final-Approved-Port-of-Umpqua-SBP-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to view the new SBP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This Strategic Business Plan (SBP) is intended to meet the Oregon Business Development Department&#8217;s SBP requirements.\u00a0 Oregon Administrative Rule &#8211; OAR 123, Division 25 &#8211; administers the Port Planning and Marketing Fund.\u00a0 All ports formed under ORS 777 were required to adopt an SBP within one year of the state adopting its statewide SBP in order to be eligible for project funding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This plan is also designed to be a flexible guideline for the Port Commissioners to use to make sound fiscal policy and planning decisions.\u00a0 This plan has been prepared and updated to meet the following Port of Umpqua needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a01.\u00a0 Establish a revised mission, vision, goals and implementation strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2.\u00a0 Provide a plan to develop and enhance the economic diversity of the Port of Umpqua district.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">3.\u00a0 Provide a strategy for retaining existing business and attracting new business and industry to enhance local economic diversification efforts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">4.\u00a0 Inventory existing Port facilities\/properties and potential locations of interest for future Port investment in real property and\/or capital infrastructure for new economic development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">5.\u00a0 Adopt a prioritized Capital Facilities Plan and feasible funding strategy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">6.\u00a0 Provide the community and potential customers a clear understanding of the Port&#8217;s mission, as well as its functions and purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">7.\u00a0 Comply with OAR 123-0025, which requires the Port to prepare and adopt a strategic business plan in order to request state funding for planned improvements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Port of Umpqua, with the technical assistance of Lane Council of Governments, has updated its Strategic Business Plan.\u00a0 The Port of Umpqua Commission adopted&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":2952,"menu_order":3,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-160","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/160","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=160"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/160\/revisions"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2952"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/portofumpqua.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=160"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
